Increased tumor risk for mobile phone users?
According to a study from Sweden's Karolinska Institute, individuals who have used mobile phone for 10 years or more doubled their risk for developing acoustic neuroma, a benign tumor that grows on the nerve connecting the ear to the brain. They also found that all of the extra cases of the tumor occurred on the same side of the head that patients held their phone. An earlier study from Denmark did not show a higher risk of tumors, but the average tumor size was larger for users of mobile phones.
Do we want smaller, prettier phones so that they can fit (and work!) while encased in lead? When are they blodee gonna find a cure for cancer damnit!
It worries me so whenever I glance out the balcony and see the roof of the hotel just outside lined with arrays of antennas.
I wonder if Crumpler or STM makes any lead-lined cases....
